Description

First you must know Trillian is a free software and in instant messaging program really easy to use. At installation you can try two types :the basic or pro one, both are really easy to use ,and you can make accounts different types of chats : Yahoo Messenger , Aol IM, Msn Messenger, ICQ. If u already have an account there is really easy ,you just put the address and the password there and u enter. You will observe is not difficult to use and you and your friends enjoy it real soon.

History

1 July 2000 – First vs, Trillin 0.5 was released and it was designed specially for IRC clients.

29 November 2000 –Vs 0.60 was released with a big improvement: it now supports AOL Instant Messenger, ICQ and MSN Messenger simultaneously

27 January 2002 – their users have been growing (in numbers) from 1 million to 5-6 millions.

9 September 2002 – The vs Trillian Pro 1.0 was launched and you can now send SMS with it and it has Yahoo Messenger webcam support.

23 February 2005 Included UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) – vs trillion 3.1

6 January 2006 – they included google pack in Trillin Basic 3.0

19 May 2006 – Trillin was discontinued from Google Pack.

November 2006 they added a new domains – trillianastra and Cerulean Studios. The last event was recently on 5 October 2007 when the released Trillian Astra for Mac OS X.

Features

You can choose your preferences: You can set up your skin from several ones (Trillian Cordillera 2.1,Minimal 3.0,default 3.0),you can add new plugins that you didn’t choose to put them at the installation ,or you can modify the view of contact list.Also you can use the special engine designed for search in the preferences section. Another special thing is the possibility to use special keys and modify the old ones as you preffer.

Trillian now offers you the possibility to chat on conferences with your friends, share links and you can create your own room and personalize it. Join their rooms and you can become a member, incite some of your friends or even embed it on your site.You also have video and auto chating free. They are easy to use and you have the buttons at easy handed.

Easter eggs

First special thing that you observe when you enter a chat room are the large group of smiles that you can use.There are very funny and the important thing here is that you can enable sounds ,and some of them will have a short ,cute noise.

In the main panel you have the option view /docking, it is a special option for you if you want to see that panel on left or right ( smart gadget).

Trillian offers you the possibility to create your own profile.In here you can write your biography ,you can create your avatar and put what photo you like .The profile creation is unique between software like this.
